Recap: Great American Cleanup on Bikes 2024

Bike Denton had its biggest group ever at Saturday’s city-wide Great American Cleanup event. Nineteen Bike Denton volunteers removed 35 bags of trash and five bags of recycling from a portion of the DCTA Rail Trail.

According to the event organizer, Keep Denton Beautiful, Saturday’s Great American Cleanup event had more than 1,500 Denton volunteers who removed more than seven tons of trash from across the City of Denton. According to organizers, this was nearly double the amount of trash removed during the 2023 event.
