TxDOT Completes 10-Foot Sidepath on US 380, Greenbelt Entrance Remains Closed
There is now a safer way to access the Greenbelt without an automobile via US 380, but the Greenbelt remains closed at the entrance on US 380.
Denton to Install Five-Foot Sidewalk between DCTA Rail Trail and Existing Mayhill Sidepath
Denton’s $20 million Mayhill Road Phase 2 project will use five-foot sidewalks to connect the existing 10-foot DCTA Rail Trail and 10-foot Mayhill sidepath. City staff said they could not complete a 10-foot wide connection due to lack of right-of-way.
City of Denton Kicks off Northeast Denton Area Plan
The City of Denton has begun the process of developing a small area plan for Northeast Denton outside of Loop 288. The City will host a community visioning open house on March 23 and March 25.
Bicycle, Pedestrian Access to Greenbelt Planned along US 380
It may be possible to access the Greenbelt by bicycle by the end of 2023.
